The 2015 Main Street JazzFest takes place May 1-2 on the Square in Murfreesboro. Headlining this year’s festival is pianist Reggie Thomas, who is anticipating the release of his latest recording Matters Of The Heart later this month. Other performers include Music City Swing, Rod McGaha, Rock Williams, Halfbrass, MTSU Jazz Ensemble, MTSU Faculty and Murfreesboro Youth Jazz Orchestra. In addition to the Main Stage performers on Saturday, there will be several high school bands on Friday night and middle school bands will perform Saturday on the Kroger Stage.

JazzFest has also become an event that is more than just music and is solidifying its place as one of the best in the region. For the second consecutive year, The Southeast Tourism Society named Main Street JazzFest one of the Top 20 Events in the Southeast for May 2015. Coinciding with the music, there will be several activities for children on Saturday that begin at 11 a.m.  Admission is free. To keep up to date with JazzFest information, visit
