The Tennessee Jazz & Blues Society is delighted to welcome two distinguished contributors to the website. Austin Bealmear and Ron Wynn are both well-known and respected voices, and join forces to bring you the best in coverage of the local and national jazz and blues scene.Austin is well-known to longtime TJBS members, serving in the past as Executive Director as well as contributing to the newsletter. He produces and narrates the syndicated radio program "Jazz on the Side," which can be heard on WMOT radio Sundays at noon. Austin's knowledge of jazz is encyclopedic, and he'll be contributing news and feature stories.
Ron is a noted jazz journalist, and also writes for the Nashville Scene and Artnownashville.com. He is also a frequent contributor to DownBeat and JazzTimes. Ron's interests range far and wide, so you'll be seeing reviews, features, and columns on the entire spectrum of jazz and blues music.
Ron is also contributing updates for the TJBS Facebook page, so if you're on Facebook and haven't "liked" TJBS, you need to do so at once -- otherwise you'll be missing out on a ton of interesting news!
