The site is a project of Nashville Arts Magazine. As you'd expect from its parentage, it has a clean and simple, but classy look. One of the first things you notice on the home page is that jazz is one of its features, along with classical, rock and pop, and roots music. Reviewers John Pitcher and Ron Wynn have dug in and reviewed a number of local jazz events, including the Schermerhorn concerts of Larry Carlton and Sonny Rollins, the Nashville Jazz Orchestra's Latin Jazz concert, the Nashville Jazz Workshop performance by visiting trumpeter Marvin Stamm, and the Workshop's recent program of "Standards Deranged" by Roger Spencer, Jeff Coffin, Bill Altvater, and Dale Armstrong.
The writing is solid and informative, and the coverage validates what many of us have known for years but remains a secret for many folks -- that Music City has a triving jazz scene! Thanks ArtNowNashville.
Be sure and visit their site. To make it easy for you to keep up with their jazz coverage, we're adding their "news feed" to the TJBS website (it's in AROUND THE NET at the lower right of the home page, just below SPONSORS).

Remember when the local media did reviews of live music events? Been a while. And remember when they did reviews of jazz events? Umm . . . been a while there too. Well, there's a new kid on the block that's doing this and more. ArtNowNashville.com is an online review site that's been reviewing local jazz events and doing a superb job of it!
