The Nashville Jazz Orchestra held a special concert of Latin music Friday, October 7, 8pm at Blair School of Music's Ingram Hall on the Vanderbilt Campus. Titled Ritmo de la Noche, the concert was a salute to Hispanic Heritage Month and featured the orchestra with special guests Raul Maulo and Lalo Davila. By all accounts it was a smash hit. Said critic John Pitcher of artnownashville.com, "If we could harness all of the energy expended at the Nashville Jazz Orchestra’s concert at the Blair School of Music on Friday night, we could probably power the city for a year."
