Samba Nove is a unique eight-member performing group that specializes in Brazilian standards and originals. The band's make-up is piano, bass, drums, two guitars who also play Brazilian cavaquinho, and three percussionists who also sing in Portuguese & English. The music covers many styles of Brazilian music including bossa nova, baiao, afoxe, and  of course SAMBA!

Samba Nove originally formed as a performance group from the Nashville Jazz Workshop made up of musicians who love this style of music. Samba Nove is now a hard-working band that has been out performing authentic Brazilian music in clubs, coffeeshops, outdoor festivals, and other venues. Each member has a passion for the culture and music. We would love to see you at any of our upcoming gigs.
