Don't miss a special Snap on 2&4 performance on Friday, February 24 - a gathering we're calling the Nashville Trumpet Summit!

The Nashville Trumpet Summit is the brainchild of Nashville Jazz Workshop instructor Matt White and features some of Nashville’s brightest trumpet artists and composers, including George Tidwell, Jim Williamson, and Jamey Simmons, backed by Joe Davidian on piano,Jonathan Wires on bass, and Derrek Phillips on drums.

Bringing together their diverse backgrounds and personal styles, the trumpeters have arranged music specifically for this ensemble, including a number of original compositions and re-workings of famous tunes penned by jazz trumpeters.

Expect a heavy dose of musical fire in the spirit of cooperation and musicality as this group traverses the history of jazz trumpet performance and debuts completely new musical works.

There will be two sets, beginning at 8pm. Tickets for this event are $20 / $10 students and will go on sale Monday, Feb 20 at 10AM by phone at 242-5299. Advance purchase is highly recommended.
