Jennifer Bruce & DejaNu at Jazzmatazz in the Boro!

April 14, 2017 @ 8:00 pm - 11:00 pm

If you missed us at City Winery,  head down to the boro because we are back at Jazzmatazz!

Come out for some great New Orleans cuisine and have some fun with us!

Jazz and classic pop and some new versions of some American Songbook Classics! Joining us will be Cole Burgess on Sax and Larry Crew on Bass for our regular bass player David Spicher.

Much like the classic songs from the “Great American Songbook”, They perform “The New American Songbook”.  It’s comprised of the best of classic pop songs from the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s. They cover popular music of great artists and composers like Carole King, Paul Simon, Neil Diamond, Blondie, The Everly Brothers, Stevie Wonder, Hall and Oats, The Captain and Tenille and Pat Benatar. They have arranged these songs with exciting and new jazz arrangements, but the audience will know every song!  DejaNu will take you on a trip down memory lane.  Jazz with a twist!

Although DejaNu is a fairly new group, the members are not.

Jennifer Bruce is no stranger to performing here and around the country. She toured with TV personality, comedian and entertainer, Steve Hall and Shotgun Red for over 12 years as his vocalist and backed many artists on his TV show on RFD TV.  She was a featured vocalist on the General Jackson Showboat for three years and currently performs in a variety of venues including the Johnny Mercer lunch show for the Nashville Jazz Workshop.  Jennifer’s rich, powerful, sultry voice, makes her a much sought after vocalist for producers and recording studios here in Nashville and around the US.
